Okay, Pls be patient, and any help is appreciated... First of all, I'm in the Air Force w/ slightly limited budget. My motor is old, and need to be rebuilt. A fellow Airman reccomended a place in Suisun, CA (south of Sacramento) called California Street Machine, A machine shop that will rebuild it for (he says) around $3k, however, I'm awaiting their estimate. Others say to just buy a rebuilt engine for that price, however my mechanical knowledge is based on aircraft, and I would not be too comfortable ripping into my engine (damn thing looks to intimidating.) So I would have to pay a mechanic for install. (damned limited budget) Turbo. I am considering JWT Sport 500's. From what I have gathered from the Search option, people in the forum say that they can be found for under $2k? And for hitting a target of mid to low 12's, they shoud do fine, right? So, in conclusion, With an engine rebuild for $3k, and new turbos for $2k, I can accomplish the job for about $5k, right? Are my figures accurate? Is there a less costly option? Better option? Someone in the Sacramento/SF Bay area with nothing but time on their hands who likes to help struggling airmen rebuild their TT's?(worth a shot, right? lol) Oh, and where is GR these days? I used to buy stuff from him over at twinturbo.com. Thank all of you who read my post this far, and I would like to hear your opinions. Thanks
